Congratulations to Ashley D’Antuono and Steven Kraeker for receiving the “Outstanding Physical Education Student” Award. This award is sponsored by the New York State Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance. Once a year, in December, NYSAHPERD holds a special awards ceremony and dinner at the Crest Hollow Country Club to recognize one male and one female Senior from every high school in Nassau County. Family members, Physical Education teacher, Mr. Dan Haggerty, and Athletic Director, Mr. Sean Burns were all on hand to enjoy the accomplishments of two of our distinguished Island Trees students. Ashley and Steven are pictured with Ms. Tara Nelsen, president of the Nassau Zone of NYSAHPERD.
