A 21-year-old Franklin Square man died after he was found suffering from stab wounds on a Southern State Parkway entrance ramp in Valley Stream last week, New York State police said Tuesday.
Sumeet Singh died at Winthrop University Hospital in Mineola after he was found at 9:20 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 11 suffering from stab wounds at the exit 15 entrance ramp for Corona Avenue on the westbound side of the parkway, police said.
Authorities initially said they were investigating the incident as an attempted murder and had a suspect in custody, but they have not released the name of the suspect. Nassau County police is assisting in the probe, state police said.
