As high school seniors around Levittown prepare to pick a college, some athletes have already signed off on where they will be headed next fall. One such athlete is Bobby Lewis (left), a pitcher for General Douglas MacArthur High School.

Lewis is set to play collegiate baseball at Quinnipiac University next fall, where he will major in business.

“After this whole college process was said and done, I am extremely blessed and proud to say that I am part of the Quinnipiac family,” said Lewis, who will never forget his days as a General.

Lewis names Mike Trout as his favorite athlete and likes to warm up to the song “Eight Second Ride,” by Jake Owen. One of his proudest moments, he says, was winning counties.

“My favorite on field memory is definitely winning counties. After throwing my last pitch in the second county game and our massive dog pile in front of the mound, I realized what our entire team has contributed to that victory,” said Lewis.

Off the field, Lewis is proud to have been on the academic honor roll since the sixth grade, and cites his father as his role model.
