Bridging Kids Integrated Playgroups, Inc., is the only nonprofit of its kind in New York dedicated to providing integrated programming for special needs kids, their typically developing peers, siblings and families. They offer arts and crafts, music, yoga, cooking and other exciting programs. We strongly believe in integration so that special needs children learn from peer modeling, and typically developing children learn social acceptance from an early age. Ultimately, this leads to a supportive environment and friendships not only for all of the children, but for the parents and families as well.
Since the program began in Feb. 2017, it has welcomed more than 150 children and families from across Long Island and parts of New York City. All of the programs are run by certified instructors in their respective fields including special education, music and yoga.
