Concert industry magazine Pollstar ranked The Paramount in Huntington No. 5 worldwide, based on the club venue’s ticket sales volume last year — just seven years after the music hall opened.
The Paramount hosts nearly 200 shows annually. Big-name prior acts include Ed Sheeran, Pitbull, Rod Stewart, Billy Joel, who played a surprise charity concert there, and Elvis Costello, who played the venue’s inaugural 2011 concert.
“Our diverse bookings are a key to our success,” said Brian Doyle, co-owner of The Paramount. “We have booked all types of genres of music…from punk rock to country, jazz to hip-hop, family shows to comedy, pop to oldies, heavy metal to boxing, classic rock to theater performances, and everything in between.”
Comedian Jim Breuer announced in December a residency of monthly 90-minute stand-up performances at The Paramount. The SNL alum’s first in the series is Feb. 17.
The venue has also appeared in movies and TV specials on MTV, VH-1, AXS, FUSE and EPIX in addition to a FOX News Presidential Town Hall.
