Congratulations to seniors Julia DeVincenzo and Anthony Pellegrino for receiving the Nassau Zone Outstanding Physical Education Student award. This award is presented by the New York State Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance. Once a year, in December, NYSAHPERD holds a special awards ceremony and dinner at the Crest Hollow Country Club to recognize one male and one female senior from every high school in Nassau County. Family members, Physical Education teacher Mike Bonsignore and Athletic Director Sean Burns were all on hand to recognize the accomplishments of two of the distinguished Island Trees students in the area of Physical Education. The district congratulates DeVincenzo and Pellegrino on their achievements.
