The Stonehill College equestrian team recently opened its 2017-18 season with a show at August Farm, hosted by Brandeis and Northeastern University in Holliston, MA, capturing sixth place.
Olivia Lanning, a Floral Park Memorial graduate and Stonehill College student, was among the three riders who took home blue ribbons for their performance. Lanning also earned first in walk-trot-canter at her first-collegiate show.
While at Floral Park Memorial, Lanning was a 2016 high honors graduate. She received Model United Nations awards and participated in Future Business Leaders of America. In addition, she was named to the high honor roll and also competed with the field hockey and lacrosse teams.
She is the daughter of Ronald and Laura Lanning, sister to Ali and Erin.
