The Wisdom Lane Middle School drama club showcased their talents recently during their production of Annie Jr. for the Levittown community. Even with heavy snow hitting the ground, the show went on without a hitch as the cast charmed audiences with hits such as “Tomorrow,” “Hard-Knock Life” and “You’re Never Fully Dressed Without a Smile.”
Under the guidance of musical director Carol Spainer, producer Melisa Baker, stage crew director Barry Spainer and choreographer Joanna Capitelli, both the cast and crew worked diligently to make the show come to life. Set in New York City in the 1930s, the story focused on little orphan Annie (Sophia Massoni), determined to find the parents who abandoned her years ago at an orphanage run by the cruel Miss Hannigan (Juliana Stanley). Annie eventually finds a new home and family in billionaire Oliver Warbucks (Amani Rodriguez), his secretary Grace Farrell (Katherine Reetz) and lovable dog Sandy (Cian Gormley).
