
Police say they are investigating a biased criminal mischief incident in Plainview after a homeowner’s car was vandalized with a hateful symbol last week.
According to detectives, a 55-year-old homeowner reported parking her 2014 Dodge in the driveway of her Birch Drive residence on Monday, Aug. 20, at 11:45 p.m. without damage. On Tuesday, Aug. 21, at 11:30 a.m. she found a six-inch swastika scratched on her driver’s side door along with scratches on her driver’s door, trunk and hood. The estimated value in damage is in excess of $2,000.
