BOUT Makes Boxing Debut

Newly opened boxing gym

The redevelopment of Roslyn is in full swing and the area has now given birth to a new gym called BOUT Boxing to add to its repertoire. BOUT, located at 17 Lumber Rd., Suite 10 in Roslyn, is now open. It is the brainchild of Alek Kucich, a former Manhassetite who now resides in Brookville.

Kucich attended Friends Academy before graduating from Salve Regina University. While at college, Kucich founded the Salve Regina Boxing Club. Kucich continued his boxing training at Newport Boxfit where he trained under Professional Boxing Coach Jesse Macrae. It was here where Kucich was able to establish himself as a well-respected and skilled boxer, trainer and competitor in the New England area. Kucich is thrilled to be able to bring a luxury boutique boxing gym to the North Shore of Long Island.

Located in the newly redeveloped Lumber Road development, BOUT Boxing brings its clients an intimate and personalized fitness experience where they will not only improve their physical and mental health, but learn the technical skills of boxing. Individualized attention and small class sizes allow the client to be given direct trainer-to-client attention to allow them to improve their skills.

In addition to group classes, personal training sessions are offered on a daily basis. Equipped with merchandise and boxing equipment for sale, you can come to a class at BOUT Boxing as an experienced boxer or as a beginner and walk away with the equipment and skills that you need to succeed. BOUT Boxing also offers youth classes, as well as discounts to first responders, military veterans and students.

Boxing is proven to be one of the most challenging and rewarding forms of exercise. It has been voted the most popular form of fitness throughout the country for the past two years. Boxing is known to increase confidence, improve one’s self-defense skills, and decrease stress, all while improving one’s cardio health. With an influx of boxing classes and gyms throughout the country, there is a reason boxing is back—it’s the best full body workout.
Kucich and his team at BOUT are passionate about boxing and fitness and they know how to make it fun to improve your health and well-being.

I have a high success rate of helping clients lose weight and get into shape. It is extremely satisfying knowing I can contribute positively to someone’s life, while also teaching them how to box.”

The grand opening of BOUT Boxing takes place on Saturday, Sept. 15, from noon to 3 p.m. The community is invited to stop by and slip on some gloves and try a jab or two to punch-start your new and healthy lifestyle.
