During the Maccabiah Games that were held in Israel last summer, Great Neck athletes David Blatte, Jennifer Rosenberg and Corey Rutkin played golf for Team USA.
Rosenberg helped the girls’ golf team to a silver medal.

Rutkin, a lifelong Great Neck resident, played golf with fellow athlete Josh Packer, winning a gold medal. The 2017 North High School graduate was a two-sport varsity athlete in volleyball and baseball. He is also a member of Great Neck Vigilant Fire Company and a New York State–certified EMT. He is attending Union College as a Presidential Scholar.

Blatte won a gold medal and called the Maccabiah Games “one of the most memorable moments of my life.”
