North High School will perform Little Shop of Horrors, the Broadway and Hollywood sci-fi–hit musical by Howard Ashman and Alan Menken on Thursday, Nov. 15, and Friday Nov. 16, at 7:30 p.m., and on Saturday, Nov. 17, at 8 p.m. in the school’s auditorium at 35 Polo Rd. Note: There will not be a Saturday matinée, as listed in the district calendar.
Little Shop of Horrors tells the tale of meek floral assistant Seymour Krelborn, who stumbles across a new breed of plant that he names Audrey II after his coworker crush. This foul-mouthed R&B-singing carnivore promises unending fame and fortune to the down-and-out Krelborn, as long as he keeps feeding it—blood. Over time, he discovers Audrey II’s out-of-this-world origins and intent for global domination.
