As you may have read in earlier editions of the Levittown Tribune, the local Catholic Church, Saint Bernard’s in Levittown, is raising funds to renovate the parish campus with safety improvements and including such features as a church steeple, a larger lobby, a renovated parking lot and more welcoming entrances.
Parishioners have already raised more than $1.5 million dollars toward their $1.75 million pledge and have set up a #Giving Tuesday Site so that parishioners and other members of the community may contribute to the parish. http://www.stbernardchurch.org/givingtuesday
Saint Bernard’s serves the wider Levittown community by providing food and other services for those in need, by offering all youth a robust basketball and swimming program, in addition to the spiritual works of the church. Many have attended funerals of fellow Levittown citizens at Saint Bernard’s. And of course there are weddings, baptisms and daily Mass with lively and sacred liturgies on Sundays. There is religious formation for children, ministry to teens and young adults as well as a varied spiritual program for adults.
Anyone who wishes to make Saint Bernard’s “Let’s Build!” campaign the recipient of a donation on #Giving Tuesday can do so online here:

The parish is also accepting multi-year pledges where donors can make contributions each month or quarterly to assist the church in its project. For more information e-mail Parish@stbernardchurch.org or call (516)731-4220.
