Students from Great Neck North Middle School delivered more than 300 messages of gratitude to doctors and nurses at the Northwell Health Cancer Institute.
The eighth graders honored staff with bundles of hand-written letters of thanks—some, which were read aloud to staff—to show their appreciation for the team of professionals who care for cancer patients and their families.
The North Middle School students represent the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life school chapter, which focuses on awareness, fundraising and cancer research.
