What’s Making Your Family Sick This Flu Season

HealthBrief AWhat’s worse than coming down with a nasty cold or flu? If you’re a parent, your answer might be having that same illness along with a family full of sick little ones. That’s why the team at A Secure Life set out to identify the top five items spreading the most germs in homes with children.

As it turns out, the items belonging to kids could be largely to blame for the spread of germs in your home. Common parenting necessities like strollers, sippy cups, and plush toys topped our list of items with the highest bacterial count in the study. The number of germs on these items even beat out average bacterial counts for toilet seats and bathroom floors.

Stay healthy this cold and flu season by drinking fluids, getting plenty of rest and frequently washing your hands to avoid the spread of germs.
