First and foremost, thank you for your unwavering support. This was an historic campaign, and I am immensely grateful to all of you who so generously contributed your time and effort to the fight.

Thank you for giving me the opportunity to explain my vision as to how we can improve the lives of Long Island families and families throughout New York State. This victory would not have been possible without all of you. It is yours as much as it is mine.

It has been a long road since I first announced my candidacy to be your state senator. To each and every one of you who knocked on a door, made a phone call or championed me as your candidate to friends and family, again, I say thank you.

The Seventh Senate District is one of the most diverse in all of New York, and it is my goal as your state senator to reflect that and ensure all of our voices are heard in Albany. As I said throughout our campaign, every voice matters, and as voters, volunteers and supporters you spoke in a clear and resounding voice for change that Albany cannot ignore.

As I formally take my oath of office in January, I pledge to always act and vote in the best interest of our district. That means fighting for lower taxes, for protections from gun violence, for women’s reproductive rights and for preserving our environment for generations to come.

Everyone matters, everyone is deserving of respect, and in the Seventh Senate District, every voice will always be heard.

God bless you, God bless the State of New York and God Bless America.
