Available for adoption at Little Shelter:
Yeada is a 6-month-old Shepherd mix who is looking for a family of her very own. She is old enough to start obedience classes to learn how to put the best paw forward. She loves to give kisses and enjoys snuggling with her favorite people. Yeada enjoys going for walks or exploring the play pens at Little Shelter. She’s curious about toys but hasn’t decided which are her favorite yet, maybe you can help her decide!
Miss Laura is a beautiful pastel calico cat who has called Little Shelter her home for a couple of years now. She is a quiet kitty who can usually be found hanging out in the back of the cattery where she can bird watch all day. While Laura takes time to warm up to new people, she is known for her affection with staff and volunteers. Laura would love to have a quiet adult home where she can spend her days snuggling with her favorite person. Perhaps that person could be you!
For more information about adopting Yeada and Laura, contact Little Animal Rescue & Adoption Center at 33 Warner Rd., Huntington, 631-368-8770.
Available for adoption at the Town of Huntington Cat Shelter:
Spooky is an amazing cat who has completely transformed during his time at Town of Huntington Cat Shelter. When he first arrived Spooky was very scared, he wouldn’t allow anyone to get near him. Staff and volunteers have spent months working with Spooky, showing him that humans are here to love him and give him lots of treats. Now when you meet Spooky, he is a completely different cat; will follow you around and gently mew for affection. He loves getting his chin scratched and his ears rubbed. After everything he has gone through, Spooky needs to be in a quiet home where he can be loved and cherished for the good boy he is.
Nadia longs to be queen of the jungle – and your heart! She loves spending time climbing the cat trees at Town of Huntington or pouncing on unsuspecting catnip toys. Her beautiful coat even gives her the look of a wild cat! However, Nadia loves to relax and find the softest bed to curl up for her afternoon naps. She shows that she wants to be a lap cat with the volunteers and would bond closely to her special someone. Come see Nadia today at Town of Huntington Cat Shelter.

Meet Patricia! Doesn’t she just have the most heart-melting eyes? Bashful and dainty, sweet Patricia is simply irresistible. Donning a beautifully masked face, a lovely copper coat, and charming ears, she is as lovely on the outside as she is on the inside. Tender-hearted and unsure, Ms. Patricia is seeking a loving, mature home, that will work to boost her confidence, and give her the love, patience, and time she deserves to fully blossom. A home with older, more gentle children is ideal! In return, you can expect a lifetime of sweet kisses and snuggles. She is truly a sweetheart who blooms around gentle company.
Say hello to Levi! Levi is a 2-year-old mixed breed pup who arrived at Bideawee’s Westhampton location in mid-June and has just stolen everyone’s hearts since then. Levi is a gentle and tenderhearted dog that is looking for the right home. He can seem a little bashful at first, but once he’s comfortable his real personality shines. Levi can be really playful and excitable with his people once he knows you. He is too precious to watch when he’s wagging his tail and running happily towards you. Besides his cute smile, Levi has the most endearing, brownie-colored eyes. You can see his loving heart gleaming through and could melt just gazing into them! Levi is very sweet and would do well in most mature, gentle households.
This brilliant young 1-year-old gal is named Mia. What an incredible cat she is! Boasting a silky obsidian coat, a slinky little body, and enchanting golden eyes, she is unmistakable. Not only lovely on the outside, but Mia is also fantastically sweet and charming in personality. A loving and clever minx, she is a cat all her own! All she needs to be complete is a family.
Meet Polly! She is a petite little lady with a lovely face, a dusty-rose nose, and glowing chartreuse eyes. Spunky, playful, and ever so nimble, she is a cat all her own! Equal parts jubilant and loving, Polly is charmingly quirky company. Not to mention, she has a few extra toes on her adorable little paws. She lives by her own set of rules, and is truly unique in both body and character! And who doesn’t love the exquisitely uncommon?

Available for adoption at NYC Second Chance Rescue:
Jitterbug is just about as perfect as a dog can get. She is so sweet and gentle with people and other dogs. Her temperament in the apartment, on walks, and at the dog park is wonderful. When she knows you’re about to take her for a walk, she gets super excited, wags her tail like crazy, and gives you a little howl to let you know she can’t wait to get going! She loves to play to in the park with other dogs and she doesn’t pull on her leash. Jitterbug sleeps every night in her crate without making a single peep, and she is housebroken! Jitterbug’s foster describes her as the perfect pooch: playful and spunky, while also being low key and quiet most of the time – such a dream! Jitterbug would be a perfect dog for literally anyone!
