Robber Arrested After Returning To Burglarize The Same House

A Little Neck man was arrested for a burglary that occurred in Great Neck on Thursday, Jan. 31, at 3:10 p.m., according to Nassau County Police Department Third Squad detectives.

The police report that the defendant, Farbod Hoorizadeh, 27, was observed trying to gain entry into the victim’s home on Arbor Street. The victim confronted the defendant, and a brief struggle ensued.

Hoorizadeh got into his vehicle, which was parked in the victim’s driveway, and attempted to leave the scene. The victim tried to stop Hoorizadeh from leaving and was bit on his left arm.

As the defendant was driving in reverse from the driveway, he struck the victim with his car door which briefly dragged the victim and injured his knee.

Police arrived before the defendant could leave the scene, and he was placed under arrest without further incident.

The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment of his injuries.

During the investigation, it was determined that Hoorizadeh was also responsible for a burglary at the same residence on Monday, Jan. 28.

Hoorizadeh is charged with second-degree burglary, third-degree burglary, third-degree attempted burglary, two counts of third-degree assault and reckless endangerment. He will be arraigned on Friday, Feb. 1, at First District Court in Hempstead.
