BasketballHere’s to the future!

Let it be known the 2018–19 Great Neck North Varsity Basketball team is comprised of youth and inexperience. Coach Kevin Graham has done an incredible job molding this novice crew. It should be noted that scoring leader Kyle Kamali has taken control of the offense and is making this the best experience possible. He is averaging career numbers and is a consummate professional.

Noah Hakim has been an exemplary team leader and is a motivational catalyst. A bright and promising future can easily be projected for this budding young entrepreneurial star who will be attending NYU in the fall.

Defensive stalwart Shawn Mac and well-rounded Gio Norielli are great teammates and excellent student athletes who are marking career numbers this year.

Sophomore Luke Hakimian was recently called up from JV. In his first outing again Sewanhaka High School, he managed six points and four rebounds while playing solid defense. The sophomore back court of Jackson Cronin and Hakimian will be a force to reckon with for the county during the next three years.

Junior Ethan Youseffi has been rapidly improving as have juniors Michael Jacobs and Nathaniel Hyman. A litany of offensive weapons from the rest of the JV sophomore class will be highly visible during the next two years.

The scoring leaders on Jan. 25 include Cronin (10), Jacobs (8), Hakimian (6) and Youseffi (6).
