The Great Neck North Boys JVA Basketball team played Carey High School last week in the team’s last game of the season. North had been on a two-game winning streak and wanted to finish the season strong.
To kickoff the game, Ryan Aminzadeh, the shooting guard for the Blazers, shot four for four from the three-point line to earn 12 points in the first half.
Matthew Heimowitz and Liam Nihan played great defense for the Blazers and kept their momentum going throughout the second half.
The Blazers won the game and had a great end to the season with this win. Fans are already looking forward to next year.
The winter sports season has come to an end. The spring season will start in about a month with the following sports: boys baseball, girls lacrosse, track, tennis and the amazing golf team.
