At the most recent meeting, Brianna Fitzgerald, Island Trees High School Junior, was recognized by the Board of Education for scoring 1,000 points for the Lady Dawgs. She is the sixth basketball player in Island Trees history to achieve this milestone. Equally impressive, Brianna helped lead the team to an undefeated regular season.
Last month, the Island Trees Board of Education recognized David Wendt, ITHS Senior, for becoming the first Regeneron Science Scholar in our storied history. The Regeneron Science Scholar competition is the most prestigious academic award given to high school students. Wendt has been recognized by the Board of Education more than any other student in 100-plus years.
