Seaford High School sophomore Sarah Keane was honored by the New York Islanders for organizing a crayon collection at school for hospitalized children. Keane’s successful drive resulted in the donation of thousands of crayons by Seaford students and staff.
She was invited to attend the Islanders’ March 1 game, where she was recognized with the Ladd’s Leaders award after being nominated through the Team Up 4 Community organization. Sarah was pictured with Islanders player Andrew Ladd.
