Popular Disney animated movie “Beauty and the Beast” comes to life on the Seaford Middle School stage for two performances this weekend. The musical production features a cast of 50 students.
Eighth-grader Raelyn Luft stars as Belle with seventh-grader Brendan Murphy as the Beast. Other lead roles include Kieran Calderaro as Gaston, James Price as LeFou, Kerry Wise as Lumiere, Emily Falletta as Cogsworth, Samantha Ferrara as Mrs. Potts, Hannah Polley as Chip, Skyler Munro as Babette and Faith Schaefer as Madame de la Grande Bouche.
Audience members of all ages will enjoy familiar songs such as opening number “Belle” and the marquee number, “Be Our Guest.”
The play is directed by Susan Steinberg with Barbara Sherwin as musical director and Stephanie Lucia and Brian Heyanka leading the stage crew.
Show times are Friday, March 22, and Saturday, March 23, at 7 p.m. in the middle school gymnasium. Tickets at the door are $10 for adults and $5 for students.
