A woman from Levittown was arrested on March 12, being accused of assaulting a police officer.

Detectives said that multiple units headed over to the home of Donna Cipley on Milton Avenue. She was wanted for criminal contempt. But when they arrived to her residence, Cipley was “verbally abusive,” according to the police report.

That’s not all. The report went on to say that Cipley hit the detective with a door.

The 63-year-old “flailed her arms and legs and grabbed a detective’s thumb, forcefully bending it back.” The detective who Cipley allegedly assaulted was transported to a local hospital for treatment, while Cipley was transported for evaluation.

She is charged with assault in the second degree, with the intent of causing physical injury to an officer, along with resisting arrest. She faced a judge a day later.

The report did not say what Cipley did to be wanted for criminal contempt.
