Nassau County Police Department Third Squad detectives arrested a Flushing man for criminal impersonation in Great Neck on Tuesday, March 19, at 7 p.m.
According to detectives, 24-year-old Yunkai Chen was driving a white Honda Accord on Northern Boulevard when he was involved in a disturbance with a 34-year-old man.
As the victim stopped his car on Belmont Road, Chen approached the victim’s car, said, “I am a police officer” and ordered the victim out of his car.
A witness intervened and Chen fled southbound on Belmont Road. After an investigation, he was located and placed under arrest without further incident.
Chen is charged with second-degree criminal impersonation and will be arraigned at First District Court in Hempstead on Wednesday, March 20.
