The Levittown Public Schools was recognized as one of the nation’s Best Communities for Music Education by the NAMM Foundation. This is the sixth consecutive year that the district earned this prestigious honor for their high commitment to music education and access to music instruction for all students.
Levittown is one of 623 school districts in the nation to receive this distinction for 2019. In addition to band, orchestra and chorus, the district offers piano, guitar and digital music production. Extracurricular ensembles also provide enrichment opportunities for students.
“The Levittown Public Schools has continued to build a comprehensive public school music program,” Vincent D’Ulisse, curriculum associate for music, said. “This is based upon the collective vision of our highly qualified music teachers and a tremendously supportive administrative team and board of education. We are so proud of the accomplishments of our students and of our music department.”
