Levittown’s Gerald R. Claps Career and Technical Center SkillsUSA Club took home 11 medals during the Area VI SkillsUSA Regional Competition at Suffolk County Community College on March 26.
Students were honored at an awards ceremony at the Crest Hollow Country Club following the competition. Advised by teachers Kristina Cuomo and Jennifer Pernick, the GC Tech student competitors, contest helpers/models and delegates who attended were chosen as a result of their exceptional talent and responsibility displayed in their programs.
SkillsUSA is an organization comprised of students, teachers and partners that offers educational programs, events and competitions to support career and technical education.
