The John L. Miller–Great Neck North High School PTO will host its first-ever Spring Shopping Boutique on Wednesday, April 3, from 3 to 8 p.m. The public is warmly welcomed and encouraged to stop by and shop.
In addition to offerings from an amazing list of vendors, 50/50 raffles will be available with tickets starting at $5. The winner of the raffle will be selected at the end of the evening and will take home 50 percent of the money collected.
The event will be followed by a PTO round-table meeting at 8 p.m., when administrators will answer questions submitted by parents. Parents of incoming freshman are encouraged to attend the round-table discussion.
Boutique vendors were specially selected and will provide a cross section of jewelry, housewares, spring-break merchandise, college swag and more. Committed vendors include Makim Swim, Mancave Apparel, Exersista, Rivet and Rose, Swag, Buy the Bagg, Dirty Girl Cosmetics, Manot for Chaii, 1 for 12 2 for 20, Crush and Fancy, Rodan and Fields, Corrine’s Luxury Collection, Baby Boudoir, Set in Stones, Naz New York, Retail Therapy, Jewels by Sharleen, S&A Furs and Décor by Rebecca.
The boutique and raffle will benefit the North High Senior Event, which is entirely funded by parents of the graduating class. Parents raise money to purchase T-shirts, decorate the Commons (North High’s cafeteria), hire a photographer and create a magical-themed evening for students. Most of the food is donated through the generosity of local restaurants. At North High, Senior Event is held the evening before graduation. There is none of the pressure to dress up or bring dates associated with prom. It is a great way for the graduating class to get together one final time to hang out, take photos and sign yearbooks on the evening before graduation.
