Bruins Squirts Honored For Winning Championship

Town of North Hempstead council members congratulate the Great Neck Bruins—and their parents—on winning the Squirts division of the Long Island Amateur Hockey League 2018–19 Championships.

The Great Neck Park District’s Bruins Squirts (ages 10U) hockey team was honored by the Town of North Hempstead on Wednesday, April 3, for winning its division of the Long Island Amateur Hockey League (LIAHL) 2018–19 Championships.

Town officials welcomed the team to town hall and presented each teammate and coach with a Certificate of Recognition, Achievement and Appreciation in honor of their accomplishments.

The event was coordinated by North Hempstead Town Supervisor Judi Bosworth and Councilwomen Lee Seeman and Veroncia Lurvey. Town Clerk Wayne Wink, Great Neck Park District Superintendent Jason R. Marra and Park District Commissioners Robert A. Lincoln, Jr., Frank S. Cilluffo and Tina M. Stellato were also in attendance.
