Farmingdale State College recently honored a number of long-time faculty and staff, and those who have retired after long years of service to the institution.
Deborah Faulhaber of Levittown has retired from the School of Health Sciences at Farmingdale State College.
She joined the College in 1997. According to her co-workers, she was always wonderful, helpful, and positive towards students. She would spend as much time as needed to help each one. She was recognized for her hard work in 2013, when she received both the state university’s Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Classified Service and Farmingdale State College’s CARES Award.
Richard Walters of Levittown also retired from the custodial department at Farmingdale State College, where he worked since 1999.
According to his supervisor, “Rich was a great worker who took excellent care of the Aviation Center and his equipment. Whenever Rich went on vacation and a co-worker was scheduled to cover his area, they would always comment on how great he kept the place looking. Rich was a dependable and dedicated worker.”
