IMG_5358

The residents of Floral Park came out on Saturday to celebrate the 151st running of the Belmont Stakes at the village’s annual street festival, which was coordinated by the Floral Park Chamber of Commerce and the New York Racing Association (NYRA). Originally, the street festival, which takes six months to plan, was set for Saturday, June 2, but was canceled due to the inclement weather that was approaching the area. Luckily, the weather managed to hold out allowing residents to enjoy the festivities of the day.

Local restaurants that are on Tulip Avenue such as the Floral Park Diner and Village Pizzeria were out in full-force serving up their top dishes. Besides the ever so popular food gimmick that goes along with festivals, there were tons of rides and entertainment such as music and dancing for kids and adults alike.
