The Lee Road Elementary School community in the Levittown Public Schools recently came together to unveil the past as current and former students, PTA members, Lee Road Principal Jami Anspach and former Lee Road Principal Anthony Goss, opened the school’s time capsule which was filled with letters and pictures from 10 years ago.
Ten years ago, every class at Lee Road wrote letters to future classes. The time capsule was then stored in the main lobby for all these years. With the help of the Lee Road Elementary School PTA and the MacArthur High School PTA, the time capsule unveiling was brought to life. Many former students, including current seniors from General Douglas MacArthur High School, came to the special time capsule unveiling after school to revisit their younger selves.
According to Anspach, the students were excited to see the pictures and read their writings from years ago. Although there are no current plans for a new time capsule, Anspach and the faculty will be discussing the idea for the future.
