Tied at seven at halftime, Uniondale was giving Farmingdale everything they had in a battle of undefeated varsity football teams. However, Daler running back Kevin Wilson broke out in the second half and the defense did its job to handle the Knights 35-7. Farmingdale is now 3-0 on the season.

Wilson was the star of the game as he finished the outing with 193 rushing yards and three touchdowns in the second half. He was also a huge factor on defense as he accounted for 11 tackles. Running back Dominic Ciaccio also had an all around solid game as he caught three passes for 41 yards. He also recovered a fumble deep in Uniondale territory and returned it for a touchdown. Quarterback Nick Lundin finished with 103 passing yards and a touchdown, while Neil Levantini and Nick Franco combined for 14 tackles on defense.

Jordan Smikle got the ball rolling early on with a touchdown grab, but it would be the only points the Dalers scored in the first half. Uniondale’s defense stifled the team and even forced some turnovers as the Daler offense could move the ball, but couldn’t get into the endzone. The Daler defense allowed a touchdown in the first quarter, but held the Knights in-check throughout the rest of the game. At halftime, head coach Buddy Krummenacker got his team ready for the second half and they never looked back. The team scored 28 unanswered to finish the game looking like one of the major contenders for the county title.

It was the end of an excellent night that started with a loud and vibrant pep rally in the Farmingdale High School gymnasium and finished with a halftime performance by the high school marching band, who debuted their set “High Hopes.”
The Dalers will be heading to Port Washington on Saturday to take on the Vikings in an afternoon game.
