The D’Addario Company, the Farmingdale-based musical instrument accessory manufacturing company, announced that John D’Addario III, the nephew of the outgoing CEO, took over the company on Jan. 1. D’Addario started with the company 23 years ago.

Bacon was named to the board of directors of the Mineola-based nonprofit Family & Children’s Association. Bacon is director of the Health Studies program at Nassau Community College and founder of Mid-Island Lend A Helping Hand, a nonprofit that helps breast cancer survivors.

United Way of Long Island recently elected Frank Maffei, package division manager of United Parcel Service (UPS), to its board of directors. Former Nassau County Package Division Manager, Frank commenced his career at UPS in September 2002.

The South Country Central School District appointed Costa as the assistant superintendent for finance and management services. She previously worked in a similar role at the the Westbury Union Free District.

Guadagno is the President of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 25 with 36 years of experience in the electrical construction field.
Brigid Villareale
The Connetquot Central School District has appointed Brigid Villareale as its new assistant superintendent for business and operations. She previously worked in a similar role at the Hempstead Public School District.
