“Greetings one and all” is what you’ll hear when Cash greets you at the Town of Smithtown’s Animal Shelter. Cash is the 12-year-old “chaircat” of the shelter’s welcoming committee and chooses to greet her guests by rubbing up against your ankles and strutting around, introducing you to all the other cats in the cattery. She loves nothing more than to sit with volunteers and get pets all day long.
Gia is 10-month-old French Bulldog Mix who is literally a 100 percent miracle pooch waiting for her furrever family. Gia had a rough start to life, not given the basic love or care that all domestic pets require. While she is still learning how to trust people, Gia has discovered that playing with toys and being showered with love is a healthy part of her daily routine. She does have some orthopedic issues, requiring a few extra steps to meet Gia’s needs. However, a little extra work is worth the endless love and appreciation Gia displays when she plops down on your lap or feet.
For more information about adopting Cash or Gia, head over to the Town of Smithtown Animal Shelter at 410 East Main Street, Smithtown, or call 631-360-7575.

The quickest way to win Leftenant’s (adoption #V39769) heart is through his chin; just a few gentle scratches and you’ll have earned this young southern boy’s heart. Originally from Virginia, this quiet, 2-year-old, gray-and-white tabby is in search of a peaceful home with lots of luxurious sunlight and comfy beds. If you’d enjoy exchanging tender moments with a loyal, loving companion, Leftenant would love to make new memories with you.
**Double Adoption** Bamboo (adoption #IR1323) and Juliette (adoption #IR1325) have had each other’s backs since their time together in Puerto Rico fending for themselves outside. These devoted 7-month-old brother (Bamboo) and sister (Juliette) are learning to trust humans as they hop around like little kangaroos in Bianca’s Furry Friends Feline Adoption Center. Confident feline friends are taking them under their wings, and these quick learners are mastering the art of winning hearts from humans already! Bamboo and Juliette will thrive in a cat-experienced home with children 16+ in age who can give them the space they need to adjust to life as a beloved member of the family. You’ll be on the receiving end of some intense cuddles when they finally settle into their very first home.
When 7-year-old Leo (adoption R157682) lost the only home he’d ever known, our Animal League America team came to his rescue. Cautiously adjusting to his new surroundings, Leo has begun to confidently assert himself as a fun-loving, inquisitive big boy who ventures out of his shell to befriend furry companions. We know his next home will return Leo to being doted on and spoiled by a loving family. The ideal home would be gentle, cat-experienced feline fans with children 10+ in age – if you have cats who can match his energy, it would be even better!

How adorable is Hachi!? Hachi is 9 years old and is a recent arrival at the shelter.
