The Eighth Squad reports on the arrest of a homeless man that occurred on Wednesday, April 29, at 8:35 p.m. in Hicksville for grand larceny.

According to detectives, officers responded to a call of a suspicious 2017 black Dodge Durango parked on Mayflower Drive. Upon arrival, officers found defendant Clifton Woods, 19 operating the vehicle. An investigation found the vehicle to have been reported stolen on Tuesday April 28, and defendant Woods was placed under arrest without incident. Further investigation found Woods to be in possession of several credit cards from other larcenies that had occurred in Nassau County.

The 19-year-old defendant was charged with third-degree grand larceny, two counts of fourth-degree grand larceny, third-degree criminal possession of stolen property and two counts of second-degree unlawful possession of marijuana. He was arraigned on Thursday, April 30, in Mineola.
