Myrna was rescued in December of 2018 just in time to save her life. She was part of a TNR program, but the vet said she would not survive the winter if she was released back, so All About Spay Neuter took her in, nursed her to tip-top shape and socialized her. She now enjoys petting, cheese, hamburgers and roast beef! If you are interested in Myrna or would like see some of All About Spay Neuters our other kittens or cats, please call or text Alicia at 516-510-6738 to make an appointment. They are located at 4209 Merrick Rd. in Massapequa showing kittens/cats by appointment only at this time
Available for adoption at the Town of Smithtown Animal Shelter:
How cute is Cira?! This 1-year-old kitty was brought to the shelter as a stray. A prior injury from her life as a stray caused her to lose some of her tail, but this only adds to her charm. Cira has a very gentle and loving demeanor, with an unlimited supply of cuddles and affection. Her perfect home would be a place where she can get (and give!) all kinds of love and friendship. Cira would do well in a home with children. To inquire about Cira or to meet your potential soulmate, please call the Smithtown Animal Shelter at 631-360-7575.
COVID-19: Foster Opportunity: Due to the COVID-19 outbreak, the Smithtown Animal Shelter has had to restrict public access, including loyal volunteers. If you have no other pets or young children at home and are looking for a way to serve your community in this time of crisis, please consider signing up to be a foster. Foster parents provide temporary care for cats, kittens, and dogs in their own homes. Some animals need as little as two weeks of care, while others may need care for extended periods of time. Download the Foster Application at smithtownny.gov
Available for adoption through North Shore Animal League America:
As teenagers go, Ringo Starr (Adoption #H196473) is a very vocal one. All Ringo needs is love (and his special diet) to live happily ever after with you. This tenacious thirteen-year old is being treated for early Chronic Renal Disease. His care is covered at cost through our Pet Health Centers. Ringo is declawed and will need to be the only pet in the household. He’ll settle in nicely to a quiet home with children 12 and up in age who’ll be as amused by all of his conversation.
**Double Adoption** When Lincoln (Adoption #H210589) and Hamlin (Adoption #H210590) needed a safe place to land, their friends at Bianca’s Furry Friends Feline Adoption Center were there for them. These bonded, seven-month old black beauties may seem nervous at first but promises of a peaceful life with understanding humans and children 10 and up in age to support them buoys their spirits. If you’d like to share the peace and quiet of your home with a pair of sweet kittens, you could be the hero who makes Lincoln and Hamlin’s dreams come true!
Here’s a smart, handsome boy you’ve just got to meet! Kyle Broflovski (Adoption #NCI1564) was rescued as a stray by NSALA’s sister shelter in Glen Falls and recently took a trip down state to Bianca’s Furry Friends Feline Adoption Center so he can find a home! Kyle sees friendly faces everywhere. Just one look and he’ll blink and tip over for some chin rubbing. How could anyone resist this handsome, charming friend? Kyle is FIV+ so a home as the only cat or joining a FIV+ household is his happily ever after. Don’t miss out on your chance to be Kyle Broflovski’s best buddy for life!
Kiki Smith (Adoption #NCI1586) would love to paint you a portrait of what life will be like when you share your heart with her. This outgoing one-year-old masterpiece likes her feline friends just fine, but she knows a human is her ticket to happiness. Originally rescued by NSALA’s shelter upstate in the Adirondacks, Kiki is enjoying her cage-free life at Bianca’s Furry Friends Feline Adoption Center – but she knows it’s only temporary until she finds an ideal home (where she’ll be the only pet.)
Tuco (Adoption #H210638) is all dressed up and waiting for you. This tender, two-year-old tuxedo may be shy when greeting newcomers, but he melts for a good neck rub; in fact he’ll follow you and demand more if you try to leave him! He’s been waiting his whole life to go home with someone like you! If you think you’re home needs Tuco to be complete, don’t wait- call NSALA today!
