Over the past few weeks, faculty and administrators from Farmingdale School District—wearing masks and staying six feet apart—personally delivered hundreds of congratulatory signs to high school seniors and middle school 8th graders. With the pandemic disrupting so many pre-graduation milestones, educators have been doing all they can to keep their students’ spirits lifted and make sure they get a special send-off.

The delivery of the Farmingdale High School senior signs were planned as a surprise. Designed with the district’s traditional green, they were sponsored by the student government association with help from  various clubs and individual donors.

Many students and their families came outside to pose for pictures and share socially distanced heartfelt moments with their teachers. As summer rolls in, these signs will serve as a reminder that the district and the community are united in their Daler pride.
