Sixth Squad detectives report the arrest of a Manhasset man for an incident that occurred on Saturday, August 29 at 6:40 p.m. in Plandome Heights.
According to detectives, Michael Demedina, 59, illegally entered a Winthrope Road residence where he removed a wallet containing cash and credit cards.
When the homeowner, a 66 year old male returned to his residence, he found the defendant Demedina inside and contacted 911. Responding officers located Demedina a short time later and after a subsequent investigation, placed him under arrest without incident. During his arrest processing it was determined that he was also responsible for the following incidents;
- 7/11/2020 Grand Larceny in North Hills
- 8/14/2020 Grand Larceny in Manhasset
- 8/23/2020 Burglary in Manhasset
Demedina is charged with Burglary 2nd Degree, two (2) counts of Burglary 3rd Degree, Grand Larceny 3rd Degree and Grand Larceny 4th Degree. He was arraigned on Aug. 30 in Mineola.
