Farmingdale School District Shows School Pride With Spirit Week 2020

Farm SchoolSpirit 103020The opening days of October brought with it a renewed sense of Farmingdale School District pride as the district kicked off its annual Spirit Week. The week-long festivities were marked by daily themes and events that brought students and faculty together safely to show off their Daler pride.
“As the ambassador for this year’s Spirit Week, I felt it was important to really highlight what it means to be a Daler,” said Superintendent Paul Defendini. “We are a district full of creative, talented, intelligent and driven students. Spirit Week is a time where we can all come together and celebrate that.”

The week started off with Farmingdale students donning their most colorful tie dye attire in hues of various colors. Tuesday brought with it a battle of the fans with Biggest Fan Tuesday. Showing support for breast cancer survivors was the theme of Wednesday’s “Pink Out” day. Superhero Thursday saw Farmingdale students doing their best superhero impersonations. Spirit Week culminated with “Let’s Go Dalers Friday,” in which students were decked out in their best Farmingdale clothes to show their pride for their district.

While this year’s Spirit Week looked different from the year’s past, that didn’t stop students, staff, and faculty alike from showing their pride for the Farmingdale School District. The pride and community displayed by this week’s events showed that being a Daler means having a lifelong support system and that once you’re a part of the Farmingdale family, you’re always a part of the Farmingdale family.
