Helen Irean Connors née Conlin passed away on Nov. 1, (All Saints Day) at her home in Plandome surrounded by her family. Helen was born in Brooklyn on Nov. 2 (All Souls Day). She was married to the love of her life Thomas Connors for 61 years. They raised their family on Long Island with summers spent at Erskine Lake, New Jersey. Helen and Tom traveled the world and shared the stories of their wonderful adventures for years. Helen was a woman ahead of her times whose energy, kindness, sense of style and positive outlook on life were unmatched. Nothing made her happier than being on the golf course, and her crowning moment was when she achieved a hole-in-one at Harbour Ridge Yacht and Country Club in Palm City, Florida.
Helen was an unparalleled mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who passed along her faith and love for family to every person in her life.
Helen was predeceased by her husband Thomas in 2009 and is survived by their seven children and their spouses: Doreen (Jack), Gail (Lee), Tom (Karen), Nancy (Kevin), Ron (Sue), Lisa (Bill), Keith (Mary Kay), 22 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
