Nassau County Legislator Joshua Lafazan and Thomas Barrella, business educator and author of FinanciaLit, are scheduled to host the Zoom webinar “Personal Finance for Young Adults” on Wednesday, Feb. 10, from 6 to 7 p.m. Barrella’s presentation is scheduled to include advice for budgeting, saving strategies, money growth, credit, employee versus freelancer status, income taxes and more.
“Long Island’s high cost of living makes achieving financial independence especially daunting for young adults, and the ongoing COVID-19 economic downturn has created a regional economic landscape that is even more difficult to navigate,” Lafazan said. “It’s more important than ever for young adults to develop sound personal finance skills in this climate, and I thank Thomas Barrella for continuing to work with my office to help inform and educate the communities we are proud to serve.”
Pre-registration is required. Register online at www.nassaucountyny.gov/LD18 or call Rena Thomas at Legislator Lafazan’s office at 516-571-6218.
