The Major Case Bureau reports the arrest of an Amityville man during a drug overdose investigation that occurred on Feb. 5 at 11:15 p.m. in Farmingdale.
According to Narcotics/Vice Squad detectives, an investigation into a fatal overdose of a Nassau County resident led to the arrest of 32-year-old Charles Carter.
Carter was located by Narcotics/Vice Squad detectives and after initially resisting arrest he was eventually placed into custody.
Carter is charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance, obstructing governmental administration and resisting arrest.
He was arraigned on Feb. 6 in Mineola.
