Bond Vet, a new urgent care veterinary clinic, opened Monday in Garden City, offering a treatment option for pets who need treatment sooner than a traditional vet may be available, but don’t need an animal hospital.
Bond Vet accepts online booking and walk-in visits as well as telehealth to broaden access while limiting exposure amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
“In a time of great uncertainty, you can count on us to bring top-notch veterinary care and a smooth experience for your pet,” said Mo Punjani, co-founder and chief executive officer of Bond Vet. “We’ve seen more than 16,000 pets since we launched our very first clinic, and it’s clear that there is consumer demand for a new kind of veterinary experience.”
The Garden City location is Bond Vet’s fifth since the company debuted in 2019. It also has four locations in New York City, including three in Manhattan and one in Brooklyn.
The clinic features a dedicated exam and surgery areas, as well as a retail wall that stocks design-minded pet health products and single-ingredient treats.
“To date, we’ve built an incredible team of veterinarians, nurses, veterinary assistants and care coordinators with a new, differentiated approach,” said Dr. Zay Satchu, co-founder and chief veterinary officer of Bond Vet. “Through hiring, cross-training and our robust continuing education program, we look forward to training and developing even more extraordinary people to care for the pets we all love.”
