Garden City High School Senior Spotlight: Enzo Cupani

Enzo Cupani is a talented musician, skilled athlete and excellent student. After taking piano lessons locally in his younger years, his love of music was nurtured with Mr. Russo in Garden City Middle School’s Electronic Music course. He was also dedicated to his efforts on the football field and wrestling mats as well as his work in the robotics lab.

His musical involvement flourished at Garden City High School. He joined the vocal jazz ensemble and chamber choir and resigned from football in order to participate in the theater production of High School Musical. He pursued his vocal talents to earn All County, All State, All Eastern and ultimately All National Honors in Mixed Chorus Ensembles, Bass 1. As a member of the Metropolitan Youth Orchestra Chamber Choir, he performed on world stages in New York City such as Lincoln Center, Radio City Music Hall and Carnegie Hall. Cupani also serves as treasurer in the Tri-M Music Honor Society.

In addition to his many music achievements, Cupani maintained his wrestling stance and rose to become a co-captain this school year. He honed his leadership skills and found a mentor in his wrestling coach, Mr. Hepworth.

Cupani will be attending his grandfather’s alma mater, Syracuse University, to pursue a degree in the Music Industry program in the fall.
