Garden City High School Senior Spotlight: Molly Van Dyke

Molly has enjoyed an active, involved and very successful four years of high school. Faculty members share that she possesses a welcoming and very positive demeanor and greets life with excitement and optimism. She has endeavored to participate in numerous activities in and out of school and has helped to make the school and community at large better.

A hardworking and driven student, Van Dyke is part of the National Honor Society, the Spanish Honor Society and the Latin Honor Society. She maintains a challenging course load in which her classes are Honors, AP and college level. Molly has made the Principal’s List throughout her four years of high school and this past fall, she was recognized as a National Commended Scholar for her academic achievement on the PSAT.

Throughout her high school career, she has played on the volleyball, fencing, and badminton teams. She has spent her summers and winters volunteering at Camp Anchor since her freshman year, and has also volunteered at the INN, where she assisted in stocking food and organizing clothing donations.
