The Unicorn Network held CLEAR, a fundraising event benefiting the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS), at the Riviera Waterfront Mansion in Massapequa on May 13.
Brandon Gidicsin, a member of The Unicorn Network, a networking group for millennial entrepreneurs, said the fundraiser was in memory of his father.
“My father passed away from a form of blood cancer called Hodgkin’s Lymphoma when I was a child,” he said. “Apart from raising money for blood cancer research, treatment and testing, I hope to empower and inspire people to be a bit more charitable and selfless!”
CLEAR is a formal fundraising event with a cocktail hour, buffet dinner, open bar, DJ, 21 for Fun casino games, raffles, and more. Guests wore white to honor those who have passed from blood cancer in a nod to the LLS’s own lantern-lighting ceremony. Honored guests wore red to represent the lives saved and future hope for a cure for all who are diagnosed with blood cancer.
The Unicorn Network expressed thanks to its generous sponsors who helped to make CLEAR possible, including:
