Amityville Man Arrested For Robbery In Farmingdale

Eighth Squad detectives report the arrest of an Amityville man for a robbery that occurred on May 13 at 4:40 p.m. in Farmingdale.
According to detectives, a male approached a 53-year-old female employee at Ralph’s Italian Ices located at 850 Main St. and passed a note demanding money. The victim refused to comply and chased the subject to 1 Frank Ave. The subject broke off a flagpole on the store front and faced the female victim. The subject dropped the flag and fled the location.

Twenty-one-year-old Vincent Baxter was located by Suffolk County Police in the vicinity of Route 110 and Del Drive. Baxter was arrested without incident.
Baxter is charged with third-degree attempted robbery, second-degree menacing and fourth-degree criminal mischief. He was arraigned on May 14 in Mineola.
