Garden City High School senior Frank Santeramo is a skilled athlete with a full list of accomplishments. A varsity baseball team co-captain, pitcher, second baseman and outfielder, Santeramo enjoys the camaraderie of his teammates and mentorship of Coach Izzo and Coach Chaputian.
Santeramo has had a successful senior year thus far, having been identified as one of Newsday’s Top 100 Baseball Players on Long Island and presented with an award from the Town of Hempstead. He was also named to the Perfect Game-Rawlings Pre-Season 2021 All American Team, is nationally ranked on Perfect Game’s High Follow List and was included on the Class of 2021 Blue Chip Top Prospect List.
This past Memorial Day, Santeramo pitched a complete game shutout against Calhoun High School to help secure a 3-0 victory over the previously undefeated team in the conference. He surrendered zero runs on three hits over seven innings, striking out nine and walking zero. Santeramo also had a two out, two RBI single.
In the fall, Santeramo will be attending SUNY Maritime College where he has committed to play baseball. The district wishes him well in his next steps and looks forward to hearing about his future victories.
