The North Fork Country Kids Animal Rescue hosted its first classic car show and retro pinup contest on July 31.
The rescue called on its supporters to “don their glad rags” to support the cats and animals that it saves and assists through TNR (trap, neuter, and return) and more.
“The rescue’s platform is to continue being a voice for the many animals that are waiting for help and assistance,” said Virginia Scudder, the founder of the rescue.
The rescue, along with their pinup group called the Rescue Vixens, advocates to stop animal abandonment and hoped to educate as many individuals as possible while being the voice of neglected animals.
Anna from the Anna and Raven Show on 99.9 FM was a guest judge for the retro pinup contest. A Rockabilly band called the Buzzards and another band called the Feral Cats provided entertainment with beats from long ago. Car show participants and pinup contestants showed off their vintage outfits, cars, and hot rods for the good cause
